Care in use for Caesarstone® quartz surfaces

Caesarstone® quartz surfaces are very easy to maintain. The quartz used in Caesarstone®, coupled with high-performance, stain-resistant polymers, results in a durable nonporous, chemical and scratch resistant surface. Caesarstone® is also heat-resistant, and can withstand limited exposure to normal cooking temperatures from pots, pans and dishes. However, recommends the use of trivets and hot pads to maintain the beauty of Caesarstone®. With routine care, Caesarstone® will retain its radiant, lustrous appearance for many years.

Cleaning Caesarstone® quartz surfaces

For routine cleaning of Caesarstone®, use a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of non-bleach, nonabrasive cleanser.
Even though Caesarstone® resists permanent staining when exposed to liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables, wipe up food and liquid spills as soon as possible. For stubborn or dried spills, use a green scrub pad coupled with a non-bleach nonabrasive cleanser. Rinse thoroughly to remove any hazy residue. Always follow the cleanser manufacturer’s use instructions and exercise proper care when handling any cleaning products.
Avoid using cleansers that contain bleach.

Removal of foreign material

Sometimes materials accidentally fall onto the countertop and dry in place-such as gum, food, grease, nail polish, paint, etc. These can be removed by gently scraping away the excess with a razor blade or putty knife. Because Caesarstone® is much harder than a steel blade, a gray metal mark may remain on the countertop. Remove it with a green scrub pad coupled with a non-bleach nonabrasive cleanser.
For heavier or more stubborn spots, soak a pad of paper towels in water and cleanser. Apply to the spot and let soak for a few minutes. Scour with a green scrub pad and non-bleach, nonabrasive cleanser. Rinse thoroughly to remove any cleanser residue.

Polishing Caesarstone®

Caesarstone® is nonporous, and does not require sealants or waxes. Caesarstone® will keep its lustrous gloss and ultra-smooth surface without polishing.

Chemicals to avoid

Avoid exposing Caesarstone® to strong chemicals and solvents, especially paint removers or furniture strippers containing trichlorethane or methylene chloride. Keep nail polish remover, bleach, bluing and oil soaps away from Caesarstone®. Do not use abrasive alkaline (high-pH) cleansers.
If Caesarstone® is in contact with any of these substances, immediately rinse the exposed surface thoroughly with water.
